You Can Do Anything
This week in a video called “You Can Do Anything” with Taylor Richards from the Lecture Series from the Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology, he reminds us how Nephi was always pushing ahead and accomplishing great things with the help of the Lord. I learned that it is so important that we must involve the Lord in everything we do so we can receive His help. I know we can accomplish so much more with His help than just doing it on our own. Another great point he makes is “don’t doubt yourself and what you can do! You can do anything you set your mind to and with the Lord you can do amazing things!” This is true and I have had the Lord show me time and time again that His ways are MUCH better than what I can dream up. Elder Holland also spoke on this in a talk we read this week titled, “However Long and Hard the Road”. He said, “The only limitations you have are those you set on yourselves.” This is so true. More often than not I feel like we get in our own way of progress.
This is one of the hardest things for me, is learning how to overcome our challenges, especially in our entrepreneurship journey. One of my favorite sayings I used to say when life was tough was, “Just keep on keeping on”. I find that sometimes you just have to keep pushing and keep working until things work themselves out or you see a new solution in order to change your course. This is one of the hardest things for me. I am always so solution focused on figuring out how to get through a situation the best and fastest way possible. I am learning in this course on how to do better at learning and being patient while on the plateaus or backslide of my journey. This will take some work and time, but I am finding using affirmations and asking myself what can I learn from this moment, are helping me learn even during the challenges.
