Dream Big

This week we learned about tools to achieve our Big Dreams. Big dreams require a lot of thought, prayer, and goal setting to be able to accomplish. In Elder Oaks talk, “The Challenge to Become, I loved being reminded how important it is to become who Heavenly Father knows we can become. He says that “the gospel of Jesus Christ challenges us to become something”. I pondered this week on what he says Nephi teaches us that the Final Judgement will be “in terms of what we have become.” Not just what we have done in our time here on this earth. This has caused me to reflect on my life and who have I become through my life experiences. It also has me pondering on my future life and what that will look like as I evolve into who I need to become, and how the Savior knows I can become. This is also something to consider as I think forward in what kind of business I want to build. I know that I want to build a business that will help me serve others in God’s kingdom.

There are many other factors that will help us achieve our big dreams. The first one I mentioned above is to realize that we have the capacity, with the Lord’s help, to become who Heavenly Father knows we are capable of being and becoming. Another factor is that we need to think big, think outside the box, and believe in ourselves that we can achieve big things. I find this hard to do sometimes, but then I remember that all of us are ordinary people called to do extraordinary things in this life. I know that if we are on the right path for us, and following our passions and developing our talents, then the Lord makes us capable of achieving our goals.
